Needy's in a coma. Nobody gets to draw on her.
[With the obvious exception of him.]
[And this time he doesn't light a candle in the chapel. Doing so would be implicit admission of his own doubt that she'd wake up.]
[She will. She's too goddamn alive to vanish like she never was.]
[Instead he treats this like an extended study and planning period. He can almost always be found in the library or on the deck, ready heavy, dusty tomes on demonology.]

Scott peeks at the books Cassel's pouring over as he flops down in the chair across from him.]
What is that?
spam;
It's called a book, Scotty. It's a thing you read to learn stuff.
spam;
What's it about?
spam;
What do you think?
spam;
[He frowns a little, toying with the edge of another book that had been left on the table.]
Is that for Needy?
spam;
You know about that?
spam;
She said she could levitate, I just. Guessed.
spam;
[Facepalm.]
Okay, yeah, it's for Needy. I thought I'd do some research while she's napping. But I'm not actually getting anywhere.
spam;
I totally played you. [Completely unintentionally, but. Whatever.]
What's her deal? She's not...possessed, is she?
[He is super wary, okay.]
spam;
[Sort of something like that. Not really.]
She just has some. Experience with demons. That's all.
spam;
What kind of experience?
spam;
[For a second he almost sounds angry. Almost sounds dangerous. Just for a second.]
I don't know what you think the rules are in the warden club, if you think we just sit around and have tea and chitchat about our inmates' deepest darkest secrets like it's the latest episode of The Young and the Restless, but if my warden had gone around telling everybody what I'd done for no reason other than they were curious? I'd never have trusted him again.
[He leans back, drumming his fingers on the table.]
If she decides it's your business to know, she'll tell you herself.
spam;
Sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I have some experience with something pretty demon-like, too. Stiles and Lydia really like her, so I thought...Just - if I can help, let me know. That's all.
spam;
[Eventually:]
Did you ask her if you could help her?
spam;
Point taken.
spam;
[He leans back in his chair with a begrudging nod.]
What I'd do if I were you is tell her that - you know - you have experience with demons. That you want to help her. And if you want to tell me, too, you can. But you don't have to.
spam;
Okay. I will.
[And he'll talk to Stiles first, to see what he's said if anything, and what he doesn't want said at all.]
