[Cassel spends most of his time, even now, out on deck and in the gardens. He looks extremely worried and vulnerable, which is 25% calculated and 75% natural - he's not very good at hiding his emotions yet. As always, he wears gloves, and appears constantly on the lookout for attack.]

[Alternately, find him trying fruitlessly to break into your cabin. Seriously. Any cabin. At all.]

It's kind of a secret project. So I'm doing auditions.

[His cabin - for reasons unknown - is a hotel room. James doesn't question it too much. He woke up next to a pretty girl, after all. But when he catches some prat working at his door knob, he scowls. He doesn't yell, doesn't want him running off.

What he does do is come up behind him, quiet as he can, to grab at his shoulder and spin him around.]

What the hell do you think you're doing?

[His back hits the wall and he's happy to have it stay there, because that way nobody can stab him in it. He flinches, not because he's scared of James but because he's scared of somebody else. He messed up.]

[Even so, he squares his jaw and looks up at James with all the menace he can manage.]

[Kevin blinks when he hears the scratching of someone doing something to his door. He slides off the bed and peaks out.]

We weren't. I just made one up.

[Lilith has already discovered that the red door to room 5-15 is self-locking, and that she has a key and a sonic device of some kind that will both open it; she's certain without knowing why that the little dark boy won't succeed in cracking it. So she aims the device and clicks the door open under his hands.]

That one's my room. You can come in if you like though.

[Oh. Caught. Boo. But it's cool, look, it's opened all by itself and Cassel is fascinated. He looks up at her brightly and stands, dusting his hands off on his pants as if he hasn't done a single thing out of the ordinary.]

Okay.

[And in the room he goes, just like that.]

Why are you older than me? [Wee!Barron is not impressed and kind of assuming that Cassel may have transformed him.] I still do stuff with you, but this isn't fair.

I didn't do it! Why do you think I did it! [UNFAIR, BARRON.] It's not my fault you got small!

[Cassel has probably been trying this one for awhile. Sadly, the old, well-polished hardwood door carved in a cascade of seven-pointed stars actually requires a magical key. He makes very little progress until suddenly the door swings open of it's own accord, and a little black puppy of indeterminate breed barrels out of it and smacks right into him.]

Oops! Sorry.

[She doesn't seem really sorry. Her tone is brightly excited and her tail is wagging very fast as she clambers back to her feet.]

[This is the worst door ever. But then suddenly a puppy? A PUPPY THAT TALKS. W H A T.]

[Henry used to like people. Everyone thought he was a sweet kid, smart, polite, and well-liked. That was only a year ago, but it still seems like a long time.

The point is, normally he'd walk around a corner and see some kid trying to break into his room and shout but be more curious than angry; now, he sees it and it's like some switch in his head flips.]

Hey! Get away from that! [He already has his baseball in his bare hand, fingers white-skinned around it as he runs down the hallway before the kid can get away.]

[Yelping, Cassel rolls to his feet the second he sees Henry and starts to run flat-out, as fast as he can. No quips, not from this kid, not yet. Just pure fear.]

[Cass is on the deck, too.

More accurately, she's on the railing of the deck. Balancing on her hands. Like you do.

When she sees Cassel, his nervousness is so obvious it's like he's screaming it and it hurts a little, to see someone she feels like she knows looking so scared. So she switches to one hand, bringing the other up to wave at him and give him a big smile.]

[He's so amaze by this, that she's able to balance like that, that he leans forward and watches her. When he sees her smiling, he relaxes a little, waving without speaking.]

[Barbara is finally coming back - home? - to change out of her costume when she spots a tiny child trying to pick the lock. She stops, eyebrows arching and hips cocking.]

Aren't you a little young for breaking and entering?
