Okay, everybody, I realize we're all busy, busy people with busy, busy prison lives, but there's something important that needs addressing, and that is: I need my beauty sleep.

Which means I can't keep working double shifts in the gym.

[Daneca gets a little more serious though because she's been a little avoid-y after that other Barge again. It happens.]

How have you been anyway? Aside from being deprived your beauty sleep.

I don't know. Good, I guess.

[Who knows what that even means.]

[Daneca nods a little.]

I'm doing better, too. Things are feeling normal again. Which knowing this place, that won't last for long, but... I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

[A beat before she somewhat sheepishly adds:]

Yeah, I know you two are totally secretly making out, you don't have to act like it's a secret.

[She's blushing, but completely trying to pretend that she's not even as she purses her lips and tries to be a little mad. It's hard to be a little mad though when you're embarrassed, so she drops it with a sigh.]

Yeah, he helped. He just listened and by some small miracle, I didn't flip out at him too bad.

Not what? Not what?

[Not nothing. That's right.]

I knew he'd get it. I love being right. [Which means he's glad. Like, really glad. Daneca deserves it.]

I felt really guilty at first. I mean he has--had [It's a quick correction. It's just about as sudden as finding out about Allison's death had been.] a girlfriend. And I don't know.

[She's quiet a moment.]

You don't think I'm the most selfish person in the world for this, do you?

I think this is the first thing you've done for yourself in months, Daneca. No, I don't fucking think you're selfish. You're practically a saint.

[...Only Cassel Sharpe could say something like that and mean it as a way of comforting and semi-succeed.]

It's weird, you know? I'm not... I'm not worried about anything when it comes to Scott. I feel like I should be. [She builds up a little speed in talking as she goes on, but it's not anxious. Somehow, Daneca is staying about as relaxed as she can about it.] I should be freaking out because we don't come from the same world and obviously neither of us can really leave our own worlds for good so when one of us leaves that's it, but...

I'm not worried about it.

[Can't you? He doesn't say it; things are different for the two of them, night and day between him and Daneca, and in this moment he knows, too, that the two of them will say goodbye to each other for good eventually.]

[Instead:] Are you saying you're so used to freaking out about everything that being calm and happy is a brand new experience for you? Because if that's the case, you definitely need to get laid more often.

[She makes a face at the comment about getting laid more often, blushing a little because Cassel, can you not?]

[No, he can't not. What he can do is grin triumphantly. Making Daneca blush is his new favorite hobby.]
