So, I know she talked to some of you about this already. But I thought I'd make sure everybody knew, so nobody worries-- I--

Needy graduated. She didn't go home, yet, probably because her home's total bullshit [and he's pretty sure she's still wanted there??]. Sunny, haunted Beacon Hills, California was the destination of choice, for those of you who really need to know.

Anybody who wanted to say goodbye and didn't get a chance to, um, I can probably get a message to her. And by "I can get a message to her" I mean "I can have Iris get a message to her".

They're both really, really bad.

She's twelve. You're allowed to have bad taste when you're twelve.

Nope. Not allowed. She should have been born impeccable.

Oh now, I mean it when I say that she's actually perfect in every way a little sister can be. [ a beat, then the rest is rushed through with a laugh ] She just has really bad taste in car music.

My brothers suck. [Just like that, being real honest here.] So I'm glad. Especially if it's just the two of you.

It kind of sucks, though. That she doesn't have any friends.

Yeah. I get that. I didn't used to be friend people, either.

She'll be okay. I mean, I know you'll kick the ass of anybody who messes with her.

Used to be, but this place taught you the magic of friendship?

It taught me not everybody's out to get me. I learned the other thing myself.

But I guess being trapped here kinda leaves a girl with no choice, doesn't it.

Yeah, the system cheats.

Maybe you should learn to cheat harder.

My methods for cheating don't really work in this situation.

Nah. Because you're a lying cheater, too. Lying cheaters don't trust anybody.
